Ok. Well... after Charlie and "New Coach" went, things at Puna calmed. We were excellent in the immunity challenges and won two straight giving us a comfortable peace for a couple days. James was sent packing first as he was a piece of Penner's gang. The second Hilo member sent home was Sundra who was number one on our alliance hit list should our numbers dwindle. Colleen expressed interest in voting out Russel, as most of Hilo did, but after a quick talk she proved herself trustworthy by sending Sundra packing. Bob and Rus were very worried about being down to 4 at Hilo and wanted me back but weren't offered a most wanted challenge this time... because surprise surprise we merged! It was incredibly exciting as my alliance and I had somehow made it through all the B.S., maybe even gaining a new ally along the way.
The first challenge as the new Kohala tribe was exciting, it was a blind auction. PG, who was the first target for eviction, won immunity. I won the ability to nullify a single vote anytime until the final 6, Russel won the mysterious covered item (which he still hasn't revealed to anyone) and Ethan won the vote double which allows him to double his vote once. With PG winning immunity our plans changed, Ethan came to us saying that Jerri was planning to get Bob or I out at the next tribal... which I took with a grain of salt until Liz came to me confirming. We gathered our votes and sent Jerri packing. Bob was crushed and felt we had been bamboozled, which I was sure could not be farther from the truth. Yesterday morning I found out from Ozzy that Ethan had fabricated the entire thing and Liz had been playing us... both felt like daggers piercing my back. I trusted Liz and I was willing to play this game with Ethan, instead they blew it all... for what.... to eliminate Jerri? Stupid stupid move. Oz offered up a Penner-esque plan to send Ethan and his idol home. We (Russel, Oz, Bob, Colleen, and I) were to make it seem that Oz' number was up. Ethan went for it without hesitation, he was so nervous that he made Liz go down with him; I told Liz I had a surprise Puna member voting with us and she kept trying to find out who it was, when simple reasoning would say Parv (Amber wasn't on to vote and PG was with Ethan, not to mention Liz knew last week that Parv was with us). The plan was working... but I reached for it and went the extra mile... telling Ethan my tribe wanted Oz gone and there was nothing I could do... and that if he voted with us it may gain him favor (similar to the game I tried to play on Jerri in the Penner vote). He went blindly for it, instead choosing to give Bob his "idol" as he promised when we voted out Jerri. He gave Bob a fake idol. Oz confirmed that Ethan went for it and gave him the real idol. Oz played it as promised and I used my nullify on Ethan. In the end, the play worked and Ethan was eliminated. He said some classy things about me in tribal talks and via AIM, I really respect him and I wish it didn't have to end that way as I would've liked to have played with him longer. I think we both that this tribe wasn't big enough for each of us. Now it's time to start putting our majority to use and work on making it to the end.
