I can't believe I've missed this for the past week.
It's been quite crazy around both camps. I'll start at the beginning. We lost our immunity challenge last week and it sent my single-use-immunity out the window right away. I was aligned with Penner and his group so I let him plan the first target... to which he responded by asking for my opinion. My opinion was obviously Ethan, who was gunning for me at the time. Penner agreed and said Ethan would be the first person eliminated during my time on the Puna beach tribe. Well guess what, not but a minute later, Penner tells me that he "thinks" Charlie should be the target and Ethan will go next. That obviously wouldn't sit well with anyone, so I questioned him about it. Penner informed me that he and Ethan are looking out for each other until the merge and Ethan had alerted him of a threat to his power that Ethan could only reveal after the merge. I was not a fan of Penner's before finding out about Ethan... this was my moment of clarity that it was time for one of those two to exit the island. I set my own plan in motion, not even my alliance knew, to PM every member of Puna not with Penner and ask them to work with me to eliminate Ethan... the thinking being that at worst it would get back to him and maybe get him to work with me, while at best all parties involved would help me eliminate Ethan. Which outcome did I meet? Ethan came to me early on the morning of tribal council and cleared the air in a MAJOR way. Ethan informed me of everything: his true deal with Penner (of which there was none), his plot to oust me from the tribe, all the secrets he had on everyone in the game... and his overwhelming desire to send Penner packing. This peaked my interest as it was exactly the opening I was looking for to get one of these two powers out of the game. Ethan and I hatched a dastardly plan to remove Penner. We spoke with Ozzy, who Ethan was playing with, and worked him into the fray. We PMed Parv, PG, Charlie and I PMed Jerri without Ethan's knowledge as he does not like Jerri. I heard from PG and Charlie that they were with the idea one hundred percent, Parv didn't reply (and eventually self-voted) and Jerri was decidedly against the idea (as she was working with Penner and dislikes Ethan). The end of the day brought us to tribal where Ethan and I hoped we had enough votes to oust Penner. Penner had been cocky all day and was sure that I along with the rest of his alliance voted for Charlie. The final vote tally arrived... Parv self-voted, Charlie got two votes (most likely Amber and Penner), Ethan got one (which I assume to be Jerri, as I tried to talk her into voting Ethan out with me) and Penner got 4 votes. Penner was sent home and a new chapter began for me on Puna.
The weekend immediately picked up with the announcement of individual immunity and two tribals. I was eliminated before I really had a chance to settle in, so that wasn't great. Oz won immunity and I was sure that I was headed home until Ethan came to me again. Ethan wanted to continue working with me! I agreed and Ethan set a plan to get Charlie out, which worked well as Charlie was eliminated easily at tribal. Things on Hilo were shaken up by "New Coach" and James, too bad for both neither won immunity and were surprised by the strength of the Hilo 6 (5 minus yours truly). "New Coach" didn't last long as he was sent home by a 4-2 vote.
Puna finally won our first immunity challenge! We are all safe from a vote for once. I'm really liking it here so I'm hoping Hilo doesn't do well in the challenge to get me back. I think we'd both do well pairing up again in the merge.
Last week was insane and drained me, but with Ethan's alliance and our win in the immunity challenge I feel reinvigorated! This game gets better and better every day. I can't wait to see what comes next.
