Seems like every couple of days my confessionals get juicier and juicier.
I got a message from Bob EARLY yesterday morning and he seemed eager for the challenge, as was I (which is why I didn't mind the seemingly early wake up call). In keeping true to myself, I went back to bed for another couple hours sleep. What should I awake to but another text from Bob. Bob spoke with Russel and let slip that there is a hidden immunity idol "floating around", this worries me as Bob was the guy who told me from the start they we don't act like fools and show our hand to the table. Russel then starts messaging me about said idol, he assumes Elisabeth has it and wants to flush it out... now I have to do damage control and tell him I have no idea if she has anything like that. Luckily it works and Russel backs off. I had a talk with Bob about it and he seemed to feel bad but it really did peeve me.
The challenge was ROUGH. We were deadlocked to start and it was pretty much back and forth right up until I left to get lunch with a friend. I was encouraged at lunch with a message from Bob stating that we had a 12 point lead. However by the time I returned home the lead was dwindling as most of the 3 teammates I had trying had left. I was pretty much fuming mad at that point, not only over the whole Russel/Bob thing, but at Parvati. We were supposed to be working with her, instead she spends four freaking hours on that challenge before I was so fed up that I threw in the towel. Bob tried to assure me she is still with us, yet she never stopped... even when Bob broke a cardinal rule and told Parv that Penner's alliance is likely expanding to four (he has Amber, and is recruiting Ethan who we are sure has Ozzy) we tried to do Parv a favor by keeping her away from the numbers game but she chose to dig her own grave. Bob doesn't know it but I'm done working with her, I always told him that above all else I was looking out for him and I in this game.
Penner has been keeping me updated on the Puna happenings whilst I feed him brief snippets of the movement on our side. I'm really not sure how much I can trust him... but Bob is making me more fearful every day, so a swap of alliances could be in the cards.
I felt really good about the immunity challenge minus the fact that we've got a few inactives who will end up hurting our average. Ozzy would've been first out had we won that reward challenge but now that distinction turns to Coach and then James.
All in all the past two days have been crazy. Now I'm just hoping for an immunity challenge win to keep the tribe in check.
